online discussions

You need to post your initial entries for different chapters here. Due to being an instructor in ADOL 576, I only demonstrate the online response examples from Blackboard.

Remember: Copy and paste your postings (not your responses to peers) for different chapters from Blackboard to your e-portfolio.

Autobiographic sketch

After reading your story, I have decided to tell my husband that there is a pilot at this class. He must be curious about your job. Being a pilot is indeed a dream for most of young boys, just like my husband. You are outstanding among the peers.

As you said, "My life experience working in other cultures (often in very difficult war time settings) has made me a good listener and a patient communicator." I bet you are a good leader in your career. Hope you can share more with us in ADOL 576.

chapter 1

Ahmed,

Good sharing! From your posting, you had great opportunities to work with people from different countries. What a wonderful experience!

Could you share something interesting happened to you with us? For example, with your Filipino friends, did you misunderstand their meaning and make all of you laugh?

chapter 2

Jui-Ting,

Yes, your filters may apply well in your job for hiring new people, but it indeed is not suitable in your interpersonal relationship.

When we meet a new friend, we need to take time to communicate with (or get acquainted with) each other. In this way, we will understand if he/she is your good friend in your life. Compared to hire a new employee in a short time, we need more time to know other people. Do you agree?
